  • Use your 20 mile radar and overhead satelite view to aid in the battle. Fire the Big gun and watch your shells soar away from the gun at 2500 feet per second! See close in splashes as enemy shells barely miss you, or watch your ship shake and see big
explosions when hit by one of these monster shells!

Bigguns is the work of Don Christie of many months of research and coding with
DJGPP 'C' and the Allegro Library to bring you a really fun, accurate, and high quality simulation. Bigguns is donation-ware, you can download it for free, but if you really like the program, he would really appreciate a small donation, 5 - 7 dollars U.S.  Thank you very much!

Be sure to read the Bigguns.DOC file first before playing!!!

Stop by his home page and check outer games that he's wrote:

    UPDATED!!!
    BIG GUNS
    Computer game

A while back, I received Email requesting that I download a file and try a video game.  WOW - what I found was absolutely precious!!!

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS ONE FOLKS!!!!

Want to shoot 2,700 pound shells 23 miles against a moving target? Or just mess around in practice mode shooting anything that moves?   Then this is probably for you!

This new and improved version also has airplanes attacking your battleship and gives you a machine gun to target them.   The close targeting system has also been updated giving the player better ability to shoot targets in close!

Bigguns is made to be an accurate Simulation of Battleship warfare in a 3D
    world.

It was written and designed by Don Christie, a Navy Veteran.   Don spent an INORDANENT amount of time creating this game for our use and there is NO fee for us to use it, but he does request that if you like the game, that you send him a nominal check for his long hours.   Here's his address:

I must admit - this is not for the computer - "weak of heart". You should have a working knowledge of "Windows Explorer" and MS-DOS.

You'll also need a 32bit version of "WINZIP". Trial versions of this software are available for free (during evaluation period) at:
    http://www.winzip.com/tucows/download.cgi?home
    Choose the Windows'95/WindowsNT version!

You'll need to FIRST install WINZIP - and THEN download the file below. If you have an EARLY version of PKZIP - it WILL NOT WORK!!!!!

You'll have to move a few files around using "Windows Explorer" as well as configure some things in "Control Panel".

Filesize to download is 585k - (translated means about a 10 minute download time with a 33.6 modem)

Here's Don's "PITCH" for the game - check it out - pretty cool!!!
